Brand History
The Yangwang Story
Yangwang is BYD's flagship luxury brand, launched in 2023 to showcase the Chinese automaker's most advanced technology. Its debut models were the U8, a large off-road SUV with four-motor independent wheel control that can perform a "tank turn" and float in emergencies, and the U9 electric supercar. The brand targets the premium segment above one million yuan, previously dominated in China by European marques.
