Brand History
The Zotye Story
Zotye Auto was a Chinese automaker founded in 2005 in Yongkang, Zhejiang, which grew quickly by selling inexpensive SUVs and city cars. It became widely known, and often criticized, for models closely resembling established foreign designs, most famously the SR9's likeness to the Porsche Macan. Zotye's sales collapsed in the late 2010s and the company fell into severe financial distress and restructuring.
