Origins

The A10 of 2006 marked the marque's decade by stripping the KZ1 to its violent essentials: power lifted toward 625 horsepower from the BMW-derived V8, weight cut, aerodynamics hardened, and the cabin reduced to function — a car built explicitly around Klaas Zwart's appetite for circuit speed, with road legality as a courtesy. Contemporary tests found pace to trouble anything short of full racing machinery, wrapped in handling tuned at the founder's own Spanish resort circuit. Production ambitions were nominal — a handful of cars for clients who understood the proposition — and actual numbers were smaller still. The A10 closed Ascari's building years at maximum intensity; the company thereafter poured itself into the Race Resort, where the cars' spirit still laps daily.
