Origins
The B70S of 2022 expressed Bestune's second-generation confidence: a coupé-styled crossover on the revived brand's own architecture — turbocharged, aggressively creased, aimed at young buyers the badge's sedan history never touched. The design-forward positioning followed the brand's T-series success in rebuilding relevance. It competed in the fashion-crossover niche against domestic rivals iterating at the market's usual ferocity. The B70S matters as evidence of the SOE brands' design maturation — FAW's own studio producing shapes that needed no apology — even as the electric transition redirected the group's headline investments. The nameplate's evolution, from borrowed Mazda saloon to original coupé-SUV, maps the industry's whole distance. From licensed Mazda to original coupé-SUV is the whole journey, measured in one nameplate.
