Origins

The Venom F5 of 2020 was Hennessey's graduation from modifier to manufacturer: a bespoke carbon monocoque — no Lotus bones this time — carrying the house-built 'Fury' twin-turbo V8 of 6.6 litres and 1,817 horsepower, targeting the 300-mph frontier with a claimed top speed beyond it. A run of 24 coupés sold out at 2.1 million dollars before variants — Roadster, track-focused Revolution — extended the family. High-speed testing has proceeded in public steps at Kennedy Space Center and elsewhere, chasing validated records with the scrutiny the era demands. Whatever number finally sticks, the F5 already achieved its structural point: a Sealy, Texas workshop now builds a ground-up hypercar that Europe's establishment must take literally, not just anecdotally.
