The Avenger is the first Jeep designed around European conditions rather than adapted to them. Built at Tychy in Poland on Stellantis's small-car platform, it is a subcompact SUV a shade over four metres long, launched in 2023 as a battery-electric car, with front-drive petrol versions and later a four-wheel-drive 4xe hybrid added for buyers who wanted the badge to mean something off-road.

Daniele Calonaci's design is compact but unmistakably Jeep — seven slots, short overhangs, exposed corners meant to be scuffed rather than repaired — and the packaging prioritises approach and departure angles and ground clearance to a degree unusual in the class.

It was named European Car of the Year for 2023, the first Jeep to take the award, and it sells in markets where the brand's larger models are simply too big and too thirsty. It is not offered in the United States, which is a fair summary of what the car is for.
