Origins
Singulato Motors — among the first wave of China's EV startups, founded 2014 with internet-industry pedigree — presented the iS6 in 2019: a large electric SUV with competitive range claims, smart-cabin ambitions and a production partnership intended to bypass the licence barriers throttling new entrants. The window closed faster than the company could pass through it; funding tightened as the sector's shakeout began, manufacturing arrangements faltered, and the iS6 never achieved meaningful deliveries before Singulato joined the casualty list. Its story is the sector's selection mechanism in miniature: hundreds of licensed dreams, single-digit survivors — and the iS6 stands for the majority whose engineering reached the stage lights but never the street.
