Origins
The 997 Turbo gave TechArt its richest canvas, and the company's full conversions — culminating in GTstreet editions — produced some of the fastest road Porsches of their generation: outputs climbing past 700 horsepower in later development, aerodynamic packages homologated through German TÜV rigour, and top speeds brushing 350 km/h with the stability that made autobahn deployment genuinely routine. Interiors could be reconstructed entirely to order, the company's trim shop rivalling Zuffenhausen's Exclusive department. Such cars sold to a particular connoisseur — the owner who found the factory Turbo common and the tuner scene crude. TechArt's 997 Turbo work defined that niche's gold standard, and clean surviving examples now trade as collectibles in their own right, catalogued by conversion number.
