Origins

Launched in 2022, the Passion is Voyah's four-door flagship: a full-size E-segment saloon offered as a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive battery electric car or as a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and a single-speed drive. It sits on the same electric architecture as the brand's SUV and MPV, with rear-wheel steering and air suspension available.

Design and engineering

The car exists because Voyah needed a limousine-shaped product to compete for the executive buyers who traditionally bought imported German saloons, at a moment when nearly every Chinese rival was building SUVs instead. It has been styled deliberately conservatively next to the brand's other models, with a low nose and a long tail, and has been used as one of Voyah's export models. Volumes have been modest, but it completes the three-model range Dongfeng set out to build.
