Brand History
The Land Rover Story
Sketched in the sand of a Welsh beach in 1947 and launched at the 1948 Amsterdam show, the original Land Rover was Britain's answer to the Jeep and became the world's workhorse. The Range Rover of 1970 invented the luxury SUV. Under Tata ownership since 2008, the marque now leads JLR's 'House of Brands': Range Rover, Defender and Discovery.
