Origins
The SR4 slotted into Radical's expanding range as the approachable rung: motorcycle-engined like its siblings, lighter on budget and intimidation than the SR3, and aimed at drivers stepping from hot hatches or karts into genuine wings-and-slicks racing. Its handling taught aerodynamic driving — trust building with speed as downforce arrived — while Radical's arrive-and-drive support structure removed the traditional barriers of running a racing car. Many customers progressed through the marque's ladder exactly as designed, from SR4 weekends toward SR8 seriousness. The model embodied the company's real innovation, which was never merely mechanical: Radical industrialised access, turning the racing-car ownership experience into something a determined enthusiast could simply purchase, insure and enjoy.
