Origins
The Yutong E10 of 2016 rode the electrification surge that transformed the company and the industry: a ten-to-twelve-metre battery city bus produced in the thousands as Chinese municipal mandates created the world's first mass electric-transit market — and Yutong's export machine carried the type onward to Europe, Latin America and beyond. Iron-phosphate packs, depot-charging pragmatism and fleet-scale reliability made the argument cities needed. The E10 generation demonstrated, at volume nobody else approached, that urban transit's electric future was operational rather than experimental — a proof delivered daily, route by route, in Zhengzhou steel. The proof was operational, repeated daily, and eventually undeniable. By the time rivals shipped prototypes, Zhengzhou's fleets had logged continents of revenue miles.
