Origins

Zenvo's earlier cars were fast in a straight line. The TSR-S, shown in 2018, was the one that made the company technically interesting, and it did so with a single idea: the Centripetal Wing. Rather than simply adjusting angle for drag and downforce, the rear wing is mounted on a central pivot and rolls with the car, tilting so that it loads the inside rear wheel through a corner. Almost nothing else on the road does this, and it turns aerodynamics into a handling tool rather than just a top-speed one.

Design and engineering

The rest is uncompromising in a similar way. Christian Brandt's coupe body sits over a rear mid-mounted 5.8-litre twin-supercharged flat-plane-crank V8 of Zenvo's own development, based on General Motors architecture, driving the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The flat-plane crank gives it a sound closer to a racing engine than an American V8.

In production

Built at Præstø on Zealand alongside the TS1 GT and the track-only TSR, the model ran through to 2025 in very small numbers. It is the car that took Zenvo from a curiosity with a large engine to a firm with a genuine engineering signature, and it set up the far more ambitious Aurora that follows it.
