The GB110 of 2024 marked the Bertone name's latest return — the great carrozzeria having collapsed in 2014 — under new ownership determined to celebrate a 110th anniversary with more than exhibitions: a 1,100-horsepower hypercar built in a limited series of 33, its twin-turbo powertrain notably certified to run on synthetic fuel derived from plastic waste, a sustainability argument nobody else's supercar was making. The styling folded historical Bertone references into contemporary hypercar language. Whether the revival sustains manufacturing or remains gesture, the GB110 performed its function: reasserting one of design history's greatest names — Miura, Countach, Stratos — in the present tense, and attaching it to a provocation about what exotic performance should burn.
