Brand History
The Baojun Story
Baojun was launched in 2010 as a budget brand of SAIC-GM-Wuling, the joint venture between SAIC, General Motors and Wuling. The name means 'treasured horse', and the brand was created to offer affordable cars to first-time buyers in China's smaller cities. Models such as the Baojun 730 MPV and 510 crossover became strong sellers in the mid-2010s.
