Brand History

The Hyundai Story

Chung Ju-yung's construction conglomerate entered carmaking in 1967; the 1975 Pony was Korea's first domestically developed car. From budget beginnings, Hyundai executed one of the industry's great transformations, and with Kia and Genesis now forms the world's third-largest automotive group, earning design and quality accolades — especially for its Ioniq EVs.
