Origins
Gonow's Way of 2012 packaged the company's commercial underpinnings as family transport: a budget MPV for the small-business households that defined China's value segment, sold through the brand's van-and-pickup network. Its virtues were price and simplicity; its market was the provinces where such arithmetic decided. As GAC's involvement redirected Gonow's capacity, passenger products like the Way wound down. It stands among the anonymous multitude of China's motorisation — vehicles that carried a decade's growth without ever earning a review — and whose cumulative miles, not their names, were the industry's real story. Its buyers got what the badge promised and the price implied, which is a kind of honesty. A decade of shop deliveries and school runs is a full career for such metal, and most examples served every year of it.
