The Yujun of 2011 took Higer beyond buses into light trucks: a workhorse line for the logistics boom, leveraging the group's manufacturing scale against entrenched truck specialists. The diversification tested how far bus-built distribution could stretch; the answer proved modest, and Higer's centre of gravity remained coaches and the electric transit wave where its engineering led. The Yujun documents the era's expansionism — every large Chinese manufacturer probing adjacent segments during the boom — and the discipline that followed: consolidation back to core strengths as competition rationalised the map. The discipline of returning to the buses proved wiser than the ambition of leaving them. The experiment's cost was modest, its lesson permanent, and the coach lines never again shared investment with adjacent dreams.
